Energoatom invests in personnel career development for the future of nuclear energy in Ukraine

On October 08, the first stage of report defense within the framework of the implementation of the General Program for Training and Development of the Promising Employee Pool was held at the Directorate of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”. This is an important stage in the implementation of measures aimed at improving the Company activities.

In particular, the participants spoke about the strategy for restoring the operation of the branch “SS “Zaporizhzhia NPP” after its de-occupation, the implementation of a system for exchanging experience in implementing modernization measures in order to increase the efficiency and unify approaches to the Company equipment modernization, as well as improving the design capacities provided by the branch “SS “Scientific Technical Center” (STC) for scientific and technical support for NPP safe operation.

Energoatom Executive Director for Human Resources, Bohdan Shmyhelskyi, welcomed the participants of the event and emphasized that the Company employee pool is not only a tool for career development and training specialists to work in the conditions of modern challenges, but also a guarantee of continuous growth of the entire nuclear sector of Ukraine.

The promising employee pool includes senior management leaders – representatives of Energoatom branches (RNPP, ZNPP, KhNPP, SUNPP, STC, AEM) and Directorate of the Joint Stock Company. Four additional similar events are planned for October-November 2025.

The next stage of personnel development from the promising employee pool of senior management leaders of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” is expected to implement in 2026. In particular, internships at the Company branch sites and participation in training seminars are planned.

As a reminder, in accordance with the order of Energoatom, the personnel composition of the promising employee pool was approved in 2024. During January-August 2025, the employees underwent training at the International Institute of Management, successfully passed exams and received relevant certificates.
