On September 15, Acting CEO of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” Pavlo Kovtoniuk continued his work on the sidelines of the 70th Session of the IAEA General Conference, holding a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of leading nuclear industry companies from Canada, France, and the United States.
During talks with partners from Westinghouse, Orano, Framatome, Nuclea Energy Inc., as well as representatives of the U.S. nuclear industry, the parties discussed key areas for further cooperation.
In particular, the discussions focused on the development and strengthening of Ukraine’s operating nuclear fleet, the construction of new nuclear power units, the localization of nuclear fuel production in Ukraine, as well as prospects for deploying small modular reactors (SMRs).
Energoatom continues to actively expand its international partnerships, drawing on advanced expertise and technologies from the global nuclear industry to strengthen Ukraine’s energy independence.
