Announcement of a selection process for the position of Head of the Risk Management Unit, JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”

The Supervisory Board of the Joint Stock Company “National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom” (JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”, the Company) announces a competitive selection process for the position of Head of the Risk Management Unit.
The Head of the Risk Management Unit shall be functionally accountable to the Supervisory Board / Audit Committee and administratively to the CEO, ensuring independence in performing duties.
Any individual who has full legal capacity, is a citizen of Ukraine, or is a foreigner or stateless person, and who meets the requirements for professional competence and good business reputation, may apply for the position of Head of the Risk Management Unit.


Candidates shall meet the following professional suitability requirements:
•    At least a master’s degree  in the field of management/administration, economics, finance, banking, or law, or in a related discipline;
•    A combination of knowledge, professional, and managerial experience sufficient to properly perform the duties assigned to the Head of the Risk Management Unit, taking into account the Company's Strategic Plan;
•    At least three years of work experience in public and/or private sector entities and/or in the civil service (or equivalent) in Ukraine, and/or in companies abroad, in the field of risk management or related activities (compliance, anti-corruption activities, and/or risk management), including at least three years in management positions;
•    Experience in implementing and developing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, providing support in defining risk appetite, limits and KPIs, integrating risk management into the planning and reporting, crisis and operational risk oversight, reporting regulary risk maps and proposed risk mitigation measures to the Executive Board and Supervisory Board.
•    Demonstrated independence and professional skepticism, with the ability to challenge management constructively, proven experience operating in crisis or high-risk environments, strong stakeholder management skills at Supervisory Board level, and a track record of ethical leadership.
•    Knowledge of and ability to apply the Law of Ukraine “On the Use of Nuclear Energy and Radiation Safety,” as well as national and international standards in the field of internal control and risk management;
•    A sufficient level of knowledge and the ability to apply: the Law of Ukraine “On Joint-Stock Companies,” Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1369 of November 29, 2024, “Certain Issues of State Property Policy,” other legislative acts in the field of corporate governance, the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance, and internationally-recognized best practices in corporate governance;
•    The absence of any actual or potential conflict of interest, or the ability to resolve such a conflict (if any) in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Anti-Corruption Program and the internal documents of the Company;
•    Fluency in Ukrainian;
•    English proficiency at the Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher.
The candidate’s business reputation shall be impeccable. Signs of a non-impeccable business reputation shall include:
•    the individual has citizenship and/or tax residency and/or a permanent place of residence in a state that is conducting or has conducted armed aggression against Ukraine, as defined in Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Defense of Ukraine” (hereinafter referred to as the “aggressor state”);
•    the imposition of sanctions by Ukraine, foreign states (other than aggressor states), interstate associations, or international organizations against an individual, where that individual is the ultimate beneficial owner of a legal entity subject to such sanctions (this criterion applies for the duration of the sanctions and for three years following their revocation or the expiration of the period for which they were imposed);
•    the individual has an unexpunged or unremoved criminal record for crimes against property, crimes in the sphere of economic activity, crimes in the sphere of official duties and professional activities related to the provision of public services, regardless of their severity, as well as for committing other intentional crimes, if such crimes are classified under the laws of the country in which the individual was convicted for the relevant crime as crimes of moderate severity, serious crimes, or particularly serious crimes; 
•    deprivation of an individual's right to hold relevant positions or engage in relevant activities pursuant to a court judgment or other court decision (this criterion applies for the duration of such punishment);
•    the entry into force of a court decision holding an individual administratively liable for violations of anti-corruption laws, public procurement laws, financial services laws, banking laws, foreign exchange laws, or financial monitoring laws.


To participate in the selection process for the position of Head of the Risk Management Unit, candidates shall apply with the following:
•    Application for participation in the selection process for the Position in Question;
•    Commitment to maintain the confidentiality of information;
•    Written consent to the processing of personal data;
•    CV (in Ukrainian and English);
•    A motivation letter outlining proposals and a personal vision for the organization and implementation of an internal control system at JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom,” defining and delineating the functions of the specialized Units for Compliance, Risk Management, and Internal Audit, as well as organizing the work of the Risk Management Unit (in Ukrainian and English).


The following documents shall be attached to the application:
•    Passport or ID card and a certificate of residence registration (copy);
•    Higher education diploma (copy); 
•    Documents confirming advanced training, certificates, and other documents (if available) (copies);
•    A state certificate confirming proficiency in the Ukrainian language, if available;
•    A document certifying proficiency in English, if available;
•    Employment record book, if available (copy), or information on employment history from the register of insured persons in the State Register of Compulsory State Insurance. For foreign nationals – information regarding work experience, prepared in accordance with the laws of the country where the candidate worked;
•    A certificate confirming the assignment of an identification number or a taxpayer identification number in accordance with the State Register of Individual Taxpayers, or a copy of a passport containing a notation confirming the right to make payments based on the passport series and number (for Ukrainian citizens) (copy);
•    Military registration document (copy) (for Ukrainian citizens who are subject to military service);
•    Certificate of No Criminal Record;
•    Certificate from the Unified State Register of Persons Who Have Committed Corruption or Corruption-Related Offenses;
•    Certificate of non-arrears on taxes, fees, and payments.


Candidates recommended based on the results of the preliminary assessment will be required to complete a written assignment (test) prior to the interview.
