Address by Energoatom CEO Pavlo Kovtonyuk on the fourth anniversary of the occupation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP

main

March 4 marks four years since russian troops seized the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

For four years, the plant, built for light and development, has been under occupation. For four years, it has been used as a tool for blackmail, while the world has been living under threat, with nuclear safety held hostage to aggression.

But the most important thing is the people. The staff of the ZNPP.

Many of them have been persecuted and tortured. The occupation courts are throwing Ukrainian patriots behind bars – those who have not betrayed their country and refused to cooperate with the russian occupiers. This is unprecedented pressure on people who have remained loyal to their state.

Since the beginning of the occupation, we have been supporting our employees: those who left Enerhodar are being employed at other Energoatom sites, and we continue to do so. We support everyone who has remained loyal to Ukraine.

We will never recognize attempts by russians to take over the Ukrainian plant. Moreover, we will not stop working—at the diplomatic, legal, and professional levels—for its full and unconditional return.

The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is part of Ukraine's energy heart. It was built by Ukrainian specialists and must work for the Ukrainian people. The only legitimate operator of the ZNPP is Energoatom!

Together we will win!
Glory to Ukraine!
