On May 8, Ukraine, together with the rest of the world, honors the memory of the millions of people who lost their lives in the Second World War. We remember everyone who fought against Nazism, those who survived occupation, concentration camps, loss, and destruction.
For Ukraine, this date holds a special significance. Our people paid an incredibly high price for the victory over totalitarianism. Today, decades later, Ukrainians are once again forced to defend their state, freedom, and the right to a future with weapons in hand.
The memory of the Second World War is not just about the past. It is a reminder of where aggression, the cult of strength, and a disregard for human life lead. That is why today, Ukrainian soldiers, energy workers, rescuers, and millions of citizens work and fight every day to ensure that security, freedom, and human dignity are once again established in Europe.
The personnel of Energoatom bow heads in deep respect to the veterans, to all victims of the war, and to the Ukrainian defenders who continue the struggle against a new aggressor today.
Eternal memory to the fallen humans. Honor and gratitude to all those who fought and continue to fight for Ukraine.
