On January 22, schoolchildren whose research papers were recognized as the best in the competition of essays on nuclear topics received their awards during their visit to the Energoatom office.
Back in the autumn, more than 70 high school pupils from different regions of Ukraine took part in the event of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”, the Ukrainian Nuclear Society and the Energy Safety Group of Companies. Schoolchildren sent essays on the topic: “Nuclear Energy and the World – 2025”.
26 participants of the final stage of the competition defended their research papers before a professional jury, which determined the winners and awardees. For many of them, the competition became a real introduction to the nuclear industry and an opportunity to get acquainted with the principles of nuclear technologies.
In addition to valuable prizes given by the organizers of the contest, schoolchildren had the opportunity to see Ukrainian NPPs using VR glasses, learn about the dosimeter operation, and observe power unit mock-ups.
JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” and the Ukrainian Nuclear Society are convinced: the future of the domestic nuclear industry will be ensured by Ukrainian youth!
