Talented young people studying in the third year of Department of Nuclear Energy of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute visited the Energoatom branch – SS “Emergency Technical Center”.
The students were introduced to the principles of Emergency Technical Center, and the capabilities of the emergency team personnel were demonstrated to them. Moreover, future nuclear employees observed the process of conducting radiation and engineering area monitoring, video intelligence and video surveillance using the “Rozvidnyk” (Reconnaissance Operative) robot and MAN-PK robotics.
“Involving young people in work at nuclear power facilities is one of the main tasks of Energoatom. The Company pays a lot of attention to this, because the future of the domestic nuclear industry depends on young specialists,” said Petro Kotin, Head of NNEGC.
Professor of Department of Nuclear Energy of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Vadym Kondratiuk expressed gratitude to NNEGC for event organization. Such excursions allow students to immerse themselves even more in the practical aspects of their future profession.
