Energoatom is once again forced to respond to the unfounded accusations and outright manipulations spread by People’s Deputy Ya. Zheleznyak.
The false statements made by People’s Deputy are nothing more than a continuation of his targeted media attacks on the strategic state-owned enterprise.
Energoatom emphasizes that it was the Company that initiated the investigation related to the illegal appropriation of electricity by officials of Svitlo Group M, LLC in the period from April to November 2024, by sending a corresponding application to law enforcement agencies.
Currently, the proceedings are at the stage of pre-trial investigation in the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine. Energoatom is actively cooperating with the investigation units and is interested in its early completion and bringing the perpetrators to responsibility.
At the same time, another “investigation” of the deputy indicates his lack of understanding of the basic principles of the operation of the Ukrainian energy market. It is important to distinguish between physical supplies of electricity, which the Company carries out in full and financial arrangement for it, regulated by separate procedures and mechanisms not depending on Energoatom.
Instead of fulfilling his direct duties as a People’s Deputy, Mr. Zhelezniak chose the path of self-promotion and blogging activities, trying to attract attention to himself through loud, unfounded accusations against the state-owned company. Such actions harm not only the reputation of Energoatom, but also the objectivity of the investigation.
Once again, we call on media representatives not to spread unreliable information and not to participate in targeted information attacks on the strategic state-owned enterprise.
