On November 27, Energoatom together with the Ukrainian Nuclear Society (UkrNS) held the second career event for senior students of “nuclear” specialties.
According to Bohdan Shmyhelskyi, NNEGC Executive Director for Human Resources, the industry constantly needs fresh thoughts and ideas to achieve goals and meet the global demand for nuclear renaissance.
During the event, senior students learned about potential internships, educational projects, as well as vacancies at JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”. Representatives of Energy Safety Group, Impulse, Isotope and others presented their companies, employment advantages and career development potential. In addition, the necessary requirements of the enterprises for young specialists were covered.
In cooperation with the employees of the Institute for Nuclear Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety, and the Energoatom affiliate – SE “Scientific and Technical Center”, the students learned about the possibilities of continuing to study the industry within educational institutions and building a scientist career.
At the end of the meeting, the format of presentations and stories changed to a conversation, where each party could explain in more detail its own vision of the development of nuclear sector and focus on the details of potential cooperation.
The event was held within the framework of the NURECAB project.
For reference: NURECAB is a 24-month Coordination and Support Action related to the implementation of the Euratom Work Programme 2023-2025, with a focus on education, training, nuclear young generation capacity building, and networking activities to strengthen Ukrainian and EU nuclear research collaboration.
