Energoatom reaffirms its readiness to open its doors to train future nuclear professionals every year. Through systematic cooperation with higher and vocational education institutions, the company provides a robust platform for both industrial and pre-graduate internships.
In the past year alone, 747 trainees gained hands-on experience directly at production facilities, including NPPs and other Energoatom affiliates. Notably, 312 of these participants are students from specialized universities, which is 8% more that in the previous year. Most trainees are students of institutions that maintain formal partnership and cooperation agreements with NNEGC.
Internship at an NPP is an essential component of training for engineering and technical personnel in the energy sector. This vital stage of training allows students to not only familiarize themselves with the equipment and infrastructure of a nuclear power plant, but also to become immersed in the working atmosphere of the production process, feel the motivation and responsibility of nuclear employees, and understand the essence of the concept of safety culture. It also allows them to embrace the corporate values and traditions of the Ukrainian nuclear community.
A properly organized internship encourages students to build a career in nuclear industry after graduation, where genuine opportunities for a professional start await.
Energoatom’s partnership model for interaction with educational institutions helps improve the level of training for future nuclear specialists and provides the company with stable human resources pipeline, guaranteeing a smooth and continuous generational shift of professionals.
