Since the beginning of 2025, JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” has paid over UAH 94 billion to provide the population with affordable electricity. At the same time, the Company does not stop implementing current important tasks: purchasing nuclear fuel, carrying out outages – doing everything to operate at full capacity in the autumn and winter period.

The public service obligation (PSO) is a state instrument that allows keeping the electricity residential tariff below the market level. Its goal is to reduce the cost loading on Ukrainian families, especially in conditions of economic instability.

Since the beginning of the year, Energoatom has already paid UAH 94.3 billion (VAT included) for the PSO service. In particular, 100% of the service cost for January-July 2025 and 60% of the forecasting cost for August were covered.

According to the financial plan of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”, the forecasting cost of the PSO service in 2025 is UAH 163.9 billion (VAT included).

“Energoatom conscientiously fulfills its obligations to our state, paying for the PSO service on time and in full. Moreover, we are keeping it up and entering the final stretch of the repair campaign, which will give us the opportunity to operate at full capacity with all nine power units in the autumn and winter period,” said Petro Kotin, Head of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”.

As a reminder, in 2024, Energoatom paid UAH 153 billion 184 million (VAT included) for the PSO service.
