During a working visit to the Khmelnytskyi NPP, people’s Deputy of Ukraine, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Oleksii Kucherenko stated that the project to complete the power units is of great importance both for strengthening Ukraine’s energy security and for the development of the domestic economy.
The relevant committee expects a draft law on the implementation of the project from the Cabinet of Ministers, so the visit of people’s deputies to the Khmelnytskyi NPP site helped to stop many discussions that are held about these power units.
“It would be absolutely pointless not to use the things have been invested in and not to make new, modern, sufficiently effective power units out of those, that will work for the state,” Oleksii Kucherenko explained his position.
