His friends called him “Iron Man.” Oleksandr's favorite hero was Tony Stark, and he himself was an active member of the fan community.
Two years ago, on December 4, 2023, Oleksandr Synelnykov fell in battle near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region.
From his teenage years, he was involved in sports: football and boxing, ran marathons, and loved cycling. Football held a special place in his life—his love for the game of millions and his unquestioning faith in Dynamo inspired the Kyiv resident to participate in football-related events. In those moments, he was truly happy, and he told his children that to be happy, you need to “love your mom, dad, and Dynamo.”
In peacetime, Oleksandr worked as a lead engineer in the Seismic Resistance Assessment Department of SS “Scientific and Technical Center” of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom. From the first days of the full-scale war, Oleksandr went into the army, joining the Pechersk Territorial Defense Unit. After the liberation of the Kyiv region, he defended his homeland as part of the 205th separate battalion of the Territorial Defense Forces. In the army, he had the call sign “Semen.”
Despite two injuries sustained in the battles for Soledar and Bakhmut, Oleksandr continued to defend his native land. Shortly before his death, he received another promotion, becoming the company's chief sergeant.
Alexander is survived by his son, Danylo, and his daughter, Valeria.
Let us remember Oleksandr Synelnykov – a worthy son of Ukraine, a brave soldier, and a wonderful person.
Heroes never die!
