On April 23, Lviv Polytechnic invites future entrants to the Open Doors Day – traditional Science Fair.

The following things are expecting for visitors: interactive locations, demonstrations of scientific experiments, exhibitions of scientific developments, master classes, open lectures and creative zones.

11:00 a.m. – Science Fair opening.

Location: area near the main building (12 S. Bandera St.).

11:20 a.m. – 02:30 p.m. – presentation of institutes and departments.

Power Engineering and Control Systems Institute has developed an interesting program for future nuclear engineers:

01:00 p.m. – introduction to educational programs in specialties related to nuclear power industry.

02:00 p.m. – laboratory tours organized by departments of Power Engineering and Control Systems Institute

Department of Heat Engineering and Thermal and Nuclear Power Plants will open its doors to unique laboratories:

• The Nuclear Power Laboratory, which houses equipment which facilitates for students study of the design of TVZ-1000 fuel assembly simulator of VVER-1000 reactor within the disciplines of “Nuclear Power Reactors”, “Theory of Nuclear Reactors” and performing dosimetry control work;
• The Laboratory of Computer Simulation of NPP Equipment Operating Modes, which houses the multifunctional VVER-1000/320 simulator, owing to which students master the operating modes of the equipment and have the opportunity to perform computer simulation of the nuclear reactor processes.
