On June 27, another rotation of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) took place at the Khmelnytskyi NPP site; the experts continue to carry out constant monitoring of the state of nuclear and radiation safety.
The new mission included specialists from Argentina and Canada, who replaced the previous team of international observers. During the meeting with representatives of the Khmelnytskyi NPP and the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, the experts discussed current safety issues in conditions of military aggression.
At the Khmelnytskyi NPP, the IAEA mission operates to monitor compliance with the seven fundamental principles of nuclear safety. On daily basis, the experts record the current situation, conduct visual inspections of key facilities and provide an international assessment of the safety performance at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
