On July 18, another, already 44th rotation of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) took place at the Khmelnytskyi NPP site. The new mission included specialists from Pakistan and Nigeria, who replaced the previous team of international observers.
On daily basis, the IAEA mission continues to perform monitoring of compliance with nuclear and radiation safety, as well as the implementation of the seven fundamental principles defined by the Agency.
The experts inspect key facilities, record the current situation and provide an independent international assessment of the safety performance at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
