On November 28, a working meeting on the completion of the operational performance self-assessment was held under the chairmanship of Acting CEO of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” Pavlo Kovtonyuk at the Khmelnytskyi NPP. The self-assessment was conducted according to the methodology of peer reviews of the WANO Paris Center.
The event was held with the involvement of the most experienced secondees of the WANO PC and specialists of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”. After its completion, the Khmelnytskyi NPP management was given preliminary results and recommendations for improving the production activities of the nuclear facility.
According to Pavlo Kovtonyuk, the preliminary results of the self-assessment are the evidence of the effectively developed activities, exchange of experience and general improvement of the Khmelnytskyi NPP performance. He expressed gratitude to the plant management and staff for their efforts in arranging and facilitating this event.
“I appreciate your efforts, dedicated time, maximum openness and effective interaction with the team. Previously, similar reviews were carried out at the Rivne and South Ukraine NPPs, and having completing this process at the KhNPP, we were convinced that our nuclear employees always strived for improvements,” said the head of NNEGC. In his turn, KhNPP Director General Andrii Koziura thanked the experts who had conducted the review, emphasizing that such measures were another opportunity to improve the nuclear facility arrangement.
