The 41st rotation of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who carry out constant monitoring of nuclear and radiation safety and security, took place at the Khmelnytskyi NPP site.

The new team includes specialists from Canada and Argentina. During the kick-off meeting with the power plant management and representatives of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, the new mission participants were introduced to the specifics of the Khmelnytskyi NPP operation, and they discussed current challenges related to martial law and risks to energy infrastructure. The parties exchanged the experience of the previous team of experts.

The international mission continues to fulfill its key task – independent monitoring of compliance with the seven fundamental principles of nuclear safety and security.
