On August 14, a meeting of the Committee for the Assessment of the Company’s Financial and Economic Performance was held under the chairmanship of Acting CEO of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” Pavlo Kovtoniuk. The Committee members heard reports from the heads of all NNEGC affiliates on their performance during the first six months of 2026.

Despite systematic enemy attacks on energy infrastructure, the team of nuclear employees ensures the steady operation of power units, the implementation of the maintenance campaign, the strengthening of physical protection at facilities, and the implementation of projects of strategic importance to the state.

According to Pavlo Kovtoniuk, the nuclear power plants met their planned targets, generating almost 27 billion kW⋅h of electricity, or 100.7% of the target.

“We managed to exceed the electricity generation target for the first six months of 2026 by 187 million kW⋅h. We also recorded a reduction in the duration of the maintenance campaign by more than 13 days, enabling our power units to generate an additional 254 million kW⋅h. I express gratitude to all the Company’s specialists who are making every effort to ensure that Energoatom continues to operate efficiently, reliably and safely in the interests of the state,” he said.

NNEGC paid more than UAH 131.1 billion for the public service obligation (PSO) to ensure the affordability of electricity for household consumers, representing 67.5% of the Company’s net revenue. Energoatom also transferred more than UAH 32.6 billion in taxes and fees to budgets at all levels.

Support for the Defense Forces is an integral part of the Company’s activities. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Energoatom has allocated more than UAH 22.9 billion to meet the needs and requests of the military. Almost 1,000 NNEGC employees are defending Ukraine. Mobilized employees retain their jobs and receive a monthly payment equivalent to their average salary.

Based on the results of the meeting, the Committee for the Assessment of Financial and Economic Performance deemed the operations of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” for the first half of 2026 satisfactory.

Pavlo Kovtoniuk also noted that one of Energoatom’s key tasks for the second half of the year will be the further optimization of the Company’s management. In particular, this will include an analysis of the organizational structure of the Directorate and improvements to the process-based management model.
