On March 17, the Committee for the Assessment of the Company’s Financial and Operational Activities held a meeting chaired by Acting CEO of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” Pavlo Kovtonyuk. The Committee members heard reports from the heads of all NNEGC affiliates regarding their performance in 2025.
Despite continuous enemy shelling of energy infrastructure, Ukrainian nuclear power plants have maintained a steady supply of electricity to the country.
According to Pavlo Kovtonyuk, all NPPs met their targets: in 2025, 54.1 billion kW⋅h of electricity was generated, representing 100.8% of the original plan.
“The target was exceeded by 418 million kW⋅h. We recorded an increase in electricity production compared to 2024 and a reduction in the duration of maintenance campaigns. We must continue to optimize maintenance activities by introducing new technologies without compromising quality,” he stated.
UAH 168.5 billion was paid for PSO services, and over UAH 44.5 billion and was transferred by Energoatom to the state budget.
Social policy remains a significant aspect of Energoatom’s operations. The company supports its employees, particularly specialists from the Zaporizhzhia NPP who were forced to leave their hometown and the plant due to the russian occupation. Currently, over 2,600 ZNPP workers are employed across other affiliates and at the NNEGC Head Office. Furthermore, NNEGC ensures the consistent operation of social and cultural facilities in satellite towns and provides systematic support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Based on the meeting’s findings, the Committee for the Assessment of Financial and Economic Activities has officially recognized the 2025 performance of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” as satisfactory.
