Energoatom Acting CEO Petro Kotin and French Special Representative to Ukraine Thierry Salmon paid attention to current joint projects and prospects for cooperation.
The French Special Representative spoke about the current situation and development of nuclear energy, highlighting the industry renaissance globally. He also supported Energoatom's aspiration to develop the nuclear sector to strengthen Ukraine's energy independence.
In his turn, Energoatom Acting CEO Petro Kotin spoke about the Company's ambitious projects and the situation at the temporarily occupied ZNPP.
As a reminder, in 2024, Energoatom and EDF signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the Nuclear Energy Sector. The document provides for the exploration of opportunities for potential cooperation in implementing new nuclear capacities in Ukraine, as well as in maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Ukrainian nuclear fleet. According to the Memorandum, EDF may involve its subsidiaries, including Framatome, Arabelle Solutions, etc.
