During the outstanding global exhibition World Nuclear Exhibition 2025 in Paris, the head of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” Pavlo Kovtonyuk held a meeting with the vice president of the American company TerraPower Jeffrey Miller.
The parties discussed the opportunities of exchanging experience between specialists and the prospects for cooperation in the nuclear industry. Pavlo Kovtonyuk emphasized TerraPower’s progressive approach to the development of modern technologies – in particular, the Natrium reactor and energy storage systems – and wished the company success in the implementation of its projects.
The meeting became an important step in cooperation with American partners on the prospects for attracting advanced American technologies for the development of nuclear sector in Ukraine, including those within the framework of the import substitution program and the introduction of small modular reactors (SMRs).
Cooperation with TerraPower can become another significant stage in strengthening Ukraine’s energy security and diversifying sources of technology supply. The integration of innovative American developments combined with the experience of Ukrainian nuclear employees will contribute to strengthening the resilience of the state energy system.
