The Nomination Committee unanimously approved independent members for the new Supervisory Board of NNEGC “Energoatom”. The committee includes Government representatives and independent observers from the EU, EBRD, IFC, and the Business Ombudsman.

The independent members of the Supervisory Board will be:

  • Laura Garbenčiūtė-Bakienė, a specialist in finance, audit, and risk management in energy and infrastructure with over 25 years of experience. She held senior roles at PwC (USA, Ukraine, Lithuania), with work on audit and risk at strategic energy facilities, including the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant.
  • Patrick Fragman, an engineer and international manager in the nuclear and energy sector with over 30 years of experience. Former President and CEO of Westinghouse Electric Company.
  • Brice Bohuon, a lawyer specializing in energy regulation and corporate governance. He held senior positions at EDF International and EDF Energy, responsible for legal, compliance, and regulatory functions; previously worked at the French Council of State and the Energy Regulation Commission.

The selection of the three state representatives for the Supervisory Board will be completed in the first half of January.

In parallel, the process of renewing supervisory boards extends across the entire energy sector. This includes Naftogaz, Ukrhydroenergo, Ukrenergo, the Gas Transmission System Operator, Centrenergo, and other companies, with a total of 12 companies undergoing board renewals.

Work is underway to align the charters and regulations of all these companies with OECD principles.

State audits of Energoatom and defense sector enterprises are ongoing. Their results will be promptly forwarded to law enforcement agencies.
