JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” announces the start of the annual All-Ukrainian Student Skills Competition in Physics and Mathematics ”Reactor of Knowledge.” The initiative aims to promote the engineering profession, facilitate career guidance for schoolchildren, and encourage them to pursue higher education in relevant fields of study.
Students in grades 7–11 of general secondary education institutions (as well as students who are eligible to obtain a certificate of complete secondary education in the year of the Skills Competition) are invited to participate.
The Skills Competition will be held in two age categories:
- Junior group: grades 7–8
- Senior group: grades 9–11
Participation requires mandatory electronic registration on the Skills Competition platform by March 27, 2026.
Stages of the Skills Competition
Round I – Qualifying (online)
It will take place from April 1 to 15, 2026.
Participants will take an online test consisting of 5 tasks (40 minutes, one attempt). To advance to the next stage, participants must complete at least 60% of the tasks. Results will be announced within 5 calendar days.
Round II – Semifinals (online)
It will take place from April 20 to 30, 2026.
Participants with “Semifinalist” status are eligible to participate. Format: solving 5 Skills Competition problems (40 minutes). Based on the ranking results, the top 15 participants in each age group will be selected to participate in the final.
Stage III – Grand Final (offline)
It will take place in May 2026 in Kyiv.
Finalists will perform complex tasks in the presence of the jury.
Determination of winners and awards
Winners are determined based on the results of the final separately in each age category:
- 1st place – 1 participant
- 2nd place – 2 participants
- 3rd place – 3 participants
All finalists will receive the status of “Skills Competition Laureate.”
Winners and prize takers will be awarded diplomas, valuable prizes, and souvenirs from JSC “NNEGC ”Energoatom" and partners:
- 1st place – Apple MacBook laptop
- 2nd place – laptop
- 3rd place – tablet
By separate decision of the Organizing Committee, an excursion visit to nuclear power facilities may be organized for the finalists.
