Energoatom allocated UAH 18.6 bln to support the military, – Pavlo Kovtonyuk

JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” continues to support Ukrainian defenders, and on December 22, Energy Worker’s Day, at the site of the affiliate – Emergency Technical Center, nuclear employees handed over another batch of special equipment to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

This time, the following items will be delivered to different parts of the front: quad bike, electric bikes, quadcopters, charging stations, Starlink systems, generators, laptops, tablets, FPV drones, cars and electronic warfare systems.

As noted by head of Energoatom Pavlo Kovtonyuk, UAH 18.6 bln have already been allocated to support the military. “This is assistance and support for both the subdivisions of the National Guard of Ukraine, which protect Ukrainian NPPs, and other units of the Defense Forces. I extend appreciation to the entire NNEGC team for that – it is your work and the money you have earned,” he said and expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian military, who, while protecting the state from the enemy, enable nuclear employees to safely perform their activities.

Further, according to Anatolii Kostiukh, Chairperson of the Sub-committee on Nuclear Energy and Safety of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services, emphasized that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has been protected on all borders by its Defense Forces, while power engineers ensure the functioning of the country’s economy by generating electricity. Moreover, without them, Ukraine’s stability will be under threat.

Finally, the Ukrainian defenders expressed appreciation to the staff of Energoatom and the NGO “Guardians of the Light” for their regular support to the Ukrainian army and congratulated the nuclear employees on their professional holiday.

As a reminder, employees of Energoatom Directorate founded the NGO “Guardians of the Light”; this organization is gradually expanding the network of its branches. In a period of two years, the NGO “Guardians of the Light” has provided over UAH 1.1 bln in assistance to the needs of the Ukrainian military, accommodating over 400 requests from 160 military units.
