The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” have updated the composition of their Joint Coordination Scientific and Technical Council. President of the Academy Anatolii Zahorodnyi and head of NNEGC Pavlo Kovtonyuk signed the corresponding order at the NASU headquarters.
The partnership aims to support the implementation of Ukraine’s nuclear sector development strategy, as well as to promote promising scientific and technological research, innovation, and advanced solution.
“By combining the expertise of scientists with the practical experience of power sector employees, we will accelerate the implementation of innovations, enhance safety standards and strengthen Ukraine’s energy independence,” stated head of NNEGC Pavlo Kovtonyuk.
Cooperation between NNEGC and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is already actively underway: various separate subdivisions of Energoatom collaborate with the Institute of Nuclear Research, the Institute of Metal Physics, the Institute of Electric Welding and the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology.
The parties are expected to sign a renewed General Agreement on Scientific and Technical Cooperation in the spring.
