Energoatom fulfills 100% of its PSO fee

In 2025, JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” continues to fully fulfill its special obligations to ensure the availability of electricity for household consumers (PSO). This mechanism is aimed at reducing the financial burden on Ukrainian families so that the cost of electricity for the population remains lower.

Since the beginning of the year, Energoatom has paid UAH 69.24 billion (VAT included) from its own profit for the PSO service:

  • UAH 17 billion 101 million – 100% of the cost of the PSO service in January 2025 (of which UAH 8 billion 433 million was paid in December 2024);
  • UAH 17 billion 71 million – 100% of the cost of the PSO service in February 2025;
  • UAH 16 billion 696 million – 100% of the cost of the PSO service in March 2025;
  • UAH 15 billion 391 million – 100% of the cost of the PSO service in April 2025;
  • UAH 10 billion 446 million – 80% of the forecast cost of the PSO service in May 2025.

“Energoatom is working effectively and continues to fulfill its special obligations, guaranteeing the availability of electricity for the population. The Company not only ensures the stability of the Ukrainian power system, but also supports Ukrainian families in today’s difficult conditions,” NNEGC CEO Petro Kotin emphasized.

According to the draft financial plan of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”, the projected cost of the PSO service in 2025 is UAH 161.87 billion (VAT included).

As a reminder, in 2024, Energoatom paid UAH 145 billion 356 million (VAT included) for the PSO service. In particular, 100% of the payment for the 2024 PSO service was made, which is UAH 128 billion 303 million, and the debt for the PSO service for previous years was also repaid – UAH 17 billion 53 million.
