Successful tests were provided by specialists of Atomprojectengineering, Atomremontservice and Rivne NPP.

As Company’s Acting President Petro Kotin stressed, «Energoatom along with Holtec International are completing the preparation of the necessary equipment and infrastructure for discharge and further transportation of spent fuel to the Centralized Storage in the Exclusion Zone, which is ready to accept the first batch from RNPP unit 3.»

In the near-term, similar tests will be conducted at Khmelnytskyy and South-Ukrainian nuclear power plants. The next step is to obtain the appropriate license of the Regulator for the entire complex of works. Export of spent nuclear fuel will take place on schedule in the coming months.
