Maintenance program optimization allowed generating additional 1.6 million MWh

Due to the maintenance program optimization, Energoatom managed to reduce the time of NPP power units repairs by 74.4 days. This made it possible to provide an additional 1.6 million MWh of electricity to the United Power System of Ukraine.

SE NNEGC «Energoatom» aims at optimal entry into the autumn-winter period that requires uninterrupted operation of all 15 operating power units in the cold season. This is an achievable goal, according to the Head of the Company Petro Kotin.

Currently, 8 power units of Ukrainian NPPs have been repaired, i.e. 54% of the current maintenance program has been implemented. 4 power units are in outage – at the South-Ukraine NPP power unit 2 and Zaporizhzhya NPP power unit 5 intermediate scheduled outage last on the 46th and 81st days, respectively, at the Khmelnytsky NPP power unit 1 and ZNPP unit 6 – respectively 84th and the 94th day of a major overhaul.

On July 20, 11 out of 15 domestic power units are in operation. The current capacity is 8975 MW.
