Energoatom welcomes the signing by the President of Ukraine of the Law on debt repayment on the wholesale electricity market
14.07.2020Today, on July 14, the President of Ukraine has signed the Law of Ukraine “On Measures Aimed at Debt Repayment on the Wholesale Electricity Market” (No. 2386), adopted by the Parliament on June 17.
This law is intended to settle the issues of debt to electricity suppliers from the State Enterprise “Energorynok”, which occurred before the introduction of the new electricity market.
As of the time of the termination of SE “Energorynok” activities (August 31, 2019), the receivables of the state enterprise to SE “NNEGC “Energoatom” amounted to almost UAH 12 billion.
Today the process has come to its logical conclusion.
SE “NNEGC “Energoatom” welcomes this decision of the President and expects further steps to implement the Law.
