Herman Haluschenko and Hartmut Jacob appointed as Vice Presidents of NNEGC “Energoatom”

During its session on May 6, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision on appointment of Herman Haluschenko and Hartmut Jacob as Vice Presidents of SE NNEGC “Energoatom”.

Hartmut Jacob will take charge of the Company’s financial and economic block and focus on financial stabilization of Energoatom. Herman Haluschenko will be responsible for Energoatom’s long-term development.

Energoatom welcomes the government decision on appointment of the two Energoatom Vice Presidents as a critical one given the challenging financial situation in the Company caused by non-payments for the electricity supplied, under reduced electricity consumption in the period of pandemic counter measures put in place in the country.

Herman Haluschenko is an expereinced legal counsel with many years of employment in the state and private sector, associate professor of the Private International Law department, Institute of International Relations of Taras.Shevchenko Kyiv National University. Graduated from Lviv State University with a degree in law science; also graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Foreign Trade with a degree in management of foreign economic activity, has a Master’s degree in International Management.

Worked in the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The employment records of Herman Haluschenko include managing positions in the central executive bodies. In different periods of time, he held positions of the deputy head of department of the Secretariat (Administration) of the President of Ukraine, director of department on court proceedings of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. In 2013-2014 he worked as an Executive Director on Legal Support of SE NNEGC “Energoatom”. Since 2012 he has been teaching private international law in the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. Is a holder of an honorary title “Honored Lawyer of Ukraine”, is awarded an Order of Danylo Halytsky.   

Hartmut Jacob is an investment banker, and a leading financier and expert in the energy sector with more than twenty years of employment history.  Graduated from the US Johns Hopkins University with a Master’s degree in international economics and finance. Also has a Master’s degree in political studies of the Free University Berlin.  

Hartmut Jacob did an internship at UNO Headquarters in New York City. Mr.Jacob’s professional records include employment in the World Bank and leading investment banks of the Eastern Europe. Worked as a power research director in London Office of the Austrian Investment Bank Creditanstalt, held a position of the Chair of Board of Directors of the investment company Renaissance Capital Ukraine. Has a recommendation from the world-renowned Oxford Institute of Energy Studies.
